On July 22nd, Take Action Hollywood! and Omega Girl Inc. teamed up for a Day of Beauty at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles for the opening of the Teen Lounge. Actress and Pantene spokesperson Maria Menounos and her team of make-up artists spent the day giving makeovers and gift bags to all the participating teenage patients and their families.

The new teen lounge provides opportunities for teens to enjoy age-appropriate activities, such as exploring the Internet, playing video games, watching movies, and listening to music. The space is be available to all youth and young adults age 12 and up, with acute or chronic illness or injury from all units in the hospital who are able to leave their rooms and socialize with others their age in a common area.

Take Action Hollywood! and Maria Menounos got help from a number of companies to sponsor the Day of Beauty and to donate 30 gift bags that were given to the teenage patients. The sponsors were M.A.C, Pantene, Michael Stars, Disney, and Willy Wonka.
