On Saturday June 7, 2008, MALIBU RUM CELEBRATED GOING GREEN WITH MARIA MENOUNOS and TAKE ACTION HOLLYWOOD, BENEFITTING THE CLEAN WATER for HAITI PROJECT.
Maria celebrated her birthday with a star-studded bash to benefit the CWH Project. Maria’s celebrity friends including, Billy Bush, Gerard Butler, Chris Evans, Josh Groban, Kim Kardashian, Jamie Kennedy, Shaun Robinson, and Rita Wilson and family showed up for the celebration ready for a great party and to make a major contribution towards the cause.
Clean Water for Haiti works to provide sustainable solutions to the water crisis in Haiti. Through Biosand filter projects CWH is able to provide a simple, effective and affordable solution to the lack of clean water sources for Haitian families. A Biosand filter can work effectively for over 20 years and can be manufactured, delivered and installed for about $40 US.
With our mantra, “A mere $40 donation can provide a family of 10 clean water for over 20 years,” the guests came through and donated generously to the cause with Take Action Hollywood providing matching funds.
